Although genetics do play a big role on how your hair could look like, healthy or not, it is still possible to change your hair texture with different healthy practices. Easiest way to start is by getting a better diet. Proteins that are literally the building block of the hair will help build a stronger foundation for stronger hair and helps with hair growth. Proteins can be found in foods like lean meats, poultry, fish, eggs and so on. If you need help with getting protein in, I’ll be writing an article soon on how to get more protein in daily through your diet .
Something very important that people seem to not care about a lot when it comes to maintaining not only healthy hair but also a healthy skin (free from acne) is stress. A lot of the times things like stress, being dehydrated and sleeping little are important factors for keeping you and your hair healthy. It’s obviously easier said than done but try to get a hold of your life and start controlling it a bit more. I love organizing what I will be doing throughout the day and managing my workload or my studies in a way so that I don’t have to panic. You can do that by simply downloading an app that helps plan your day or write it down in a diary.
As for water, I love water, so this has never been an issue for me. But I do know that many people just prefer other drinks over water which means that they don’t drink water as much as they maybe should. I would suggest getting one of those big water bottles to help remind you to drink water, and basically help you drink more frequently during the day.
All of this combined would be great to follow but something to make it a little easier could be a good hair care routine. This all depends on what kind of hair you have obviously (and I will be making lists for different types of hairs) but for now I will give a standard hair routine for healthier hair.
Pre-showering: I personally always use oil for my hair before washing it. Specifically, rosemary oil. It has shown repeatedly that it not only is good for helping for hair growth but also is great for improving blood circulation to the scalp which in turn can nourish new hair follicles and stimulate new hair growth. Something else that rosemary oil is good for (which I haven’t seen many people talk about) is how helpful it is for fighting against dandruff. For the longest time I had dandruff no matter how much I showered, and it coincidently started disappearing once I started using rosemary oil. Now rosemary oil can be made at home but if you want to buy it directly then you can buy it here.
Showering: The Quai fine shampoo, this shampoo is specifically for the type of hair that is fine. Then there is the Quai shampoo that works for all hair types but I will be focusing more on the Quai fine shampoo. This shampoo is great for the girlies with fine hair since its formula doesn’t weight you hair down and helps add volume. What helps you hair get that volume is the shia seeds oil that is known to help make hair appear thicker. Biotin and hydrolized keratin are also included in this shampoo which help strengthen hair and reduce breakage, which is very important for keeping hair healthy. Lastly this shampoo is sulfate-free which is good for those who have dyed hair.
Now we obviously have to pair the Quai fine shampoo to the Quai fine hair conditioner. Like the shampoo, this conditioner is for the people with fine hair, so its lightweight and formulated to not weigh your hair down. The conditioner contains ingredients like biotin and keratin that help strengthen hair strands and reduce breakage. This is important for fine hair since it is more prone to weakness and split ends. Biotin can also help contribute to overall hair health. Many reviewers mention that this conditioner help add shine to hair which helps further enhance the appearance of volume and healthy hair. Like the shampoo, the conditioner is color safe. Little tip, remember to always wash your back after using conditioner to avoid bacne. Read more about bacne here. AND remember to only apply conditioner to your hair strands and not your scalp.
